As A Man Thinkenth in His Heart So Is He. Proverbs 23:7
Your mind and body are always listening. 24/7 these two parts of your being are waiting to be filled up and nourished. Make sure you nourish it with the right fuel mentally and physically. Your body is going to do what you tell it to do and will only act from what you truly believe about it. You really are fearfully and wonderfully made! Look how cool God made your body! He really is a genius when you stop to think about it. His goal was to give you the power through him to control your thoughts and live your best life.
He has equipped you to think yourself strong and tells us over and over to guard our thoughts and heart. Yet so many times we count ourselves out from the strong category. I’m not sure why. Maybe it’s a religious spirit telling us that it’s not ok to be strong because that would be prideful and unsubmissive. Maybe it’s a lie from childhood or lie that being weak is more feminine. Whatever it is, it’s complete and total crap. You are strong and you must start thinking of yourself that way. When you walk into a gym, a room, a meeting, WHATEVER, think yourself strong and expect victory. Let your body language project that. It doesn’t mean to be arrogant. In fact gentleness, is strength under control.
Your body and mind communicate back and forth with each other. Your body knows what’s in your mind and responds accordingly. Likewise your body will tell your mind what it needs like hunger, water food and air. You may have experienced this during a training session when your body starts to tell you to STOP because your legs are shaking and you can’t breathe. This is when your MIND needs to take over and tell your body what to do. Tell it to keep going and to calm down. The mind is always filtering what the body needs and giving to it accordingly. Refuse to have a wimpy mindset and refuse to give in to defeat. YOU ARE AN OVERCOMER. If you want success in this life you will have to become one. It’s starts with how you think about yourself. If you think of yourself as weak and out of shape then that’s what you will be. Start thinking of yourself as strong in every little victory and you will become that way.
We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. 2 Corinthians 10:5
Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. Philippians 4:8
You see in the Bible, ALL means ALL. If he’s in you and you are staying connected to him you are strong and you can do ALL things. So that’s it. You are STRONG. Period. End of discussion. Repeat that over and over to yourself. Start thinking it and start living it.
So my friend, it is CRUCIAL that you guard your thoughts and get your mind connected to what you want your body to do. Going through the motions with a weak or negative mindset is going to limit your progress in the gym and every other area of your life. Your body does best when your soul (mind, will and emotions) is on board with the program. Synchronizing them together is a process that takes time and discipline but over time you will start to form a new identity that’s rooted in God’s truth about you, which is the only way to live!
You Are Strong!
